In 42 years of my life, I have experienced lots of ups and downs but the beginning of 2020 was like nothing to expect from this year l. But once the days started passing I realize there are a lot of good things that happened.
A friend in need is a friend indeed – I have met thousands of people in my whole life and I only remember some of their faces, some of their names and some by their jobs but in those, very few are in my contact and in those very few are my friends. After the lockdown I started getting calls and messages from a lot of people, some who were not even in my contact list, wishing me good health and safety, and even financial help.
Hours flee love stays –
For the last 13 years I used to travel Sharjah-Dubai-Sharjah for work, 3 to 4 hours in heavy traffic 5 days in a week and sometimes I’d be exhausted inside my car. The lockdown gave me happy break from that travelling – working from home started and I saved the travelling time for my kids.
Heavy storm ends up a breeze – I am the only person working in the family my wife (Honey) is a homemaker and two kids (Adiel & Aieda) when the lockdown started. My salary was reduced and I thought this would be the most challenging year of my life but those months were the happiest days of our life without spending and saving. We got extensions on rent, loans, Credit Cards and in Utility bills, all creating a balance in monthly expenses.
And the dark clouds on top of me become a nice cold rain.
