How to add your story.

Your story will be an individual page on humansof2020.com – Done within our content guidelines, your story will be there for you to find, share and inspire for at least the next 10 years. Here are the steps to share your story.

1. If you are here for the first time, choose one of three options to register. You can do this via Gmail, Facebook or by registering manually (click on the button of your choice). 
2. Once you’ve logged in, start with a short description of your story’s title (like the title of a book).
3. Write your story – or if you have it already written up somewhere, simply copy and paste into the box for the story. 
4. Set a feature image – it’s like the cover to the story and will appear on the home page of the website.
5. You’re almost there, before you proceed to make the payment for publishing your story, please check that your story meets the content guidelines. Please note that once your story is published, it cannot be edited. 
6. There’s a onetime charge of USD 10/- (AED 37) to post your story. Why are we charging this? The money goes towards maintaining and managing the website and grow it to a million users. You may notice that one cannot see the number of views, likes or loves for a post. The only way to engage is to leave a comment. This is intentional because we want to create a platform that is ad-free, not focussed on gathering the user’s data to profit from it. More importantly, it is a space for people to share without the adrenaline/ stress of how many likes the post generated, yet know that every experience shared is a chance for one to feel less alone and positively impact another. That’s why your 2020 experience matters. 
7. Once the payment has been made, your story is published. You can view your story by clicking on the logo and going to the homepage.
