I had always wanted to make videos. Gave it a shot with some friends, did test shoots and nothing worked out. Soon that idea was put to rest and I continued with my life.
In November 2019, Covid surfaced in China. Fast forward March 2020 and this was a worldwide pandemic. The inquiries for life insurance went up. Clients wanted to know if the unthinkable happened due to Covid, will the insurance companies pay? This was a serious question and had to be addressed right away.
Instead of calling up 300+ clients, I docked my phone on a selfie stick and started recording. The answer was Yes, insurance companies will cover any Covid related events.
I still remember the first video. The selfie stick stacked on 2 stools, we shot at night so there was no outside noise.
Soon I was posting a video a week. Answering questions, addressing jargons, busting myths surrounding life insurance. I felt happy being able to add value on a larger scale. My re-takes got less and the audience grew. Something that comes from the heart doesn’t require a lot of planning.
Along with commercial I have now ventured into the retail space and just made my first video on tiktok 🙂

While there is always more than one way to way to leave a story behind, videos are the only legacy capturing emotions.
