It all started with a call from a friend in March 2020, “Rachna, can you make some masks for SEWA?” I said, absolutely!!! As I started making and teaching friends how to make masks to keep ourselves safe, I guess a different kind of pleasure set in. When my friend came to pick up the masks that my 14-year-old daughter and I had made, we started chatting and hence came a connection that will change the future of my kids. This connection was a publisher who ended up publishing my 14-year-old daughters smoothie book, that went on to become a #1international best seller in 16 categories across 4 continents. The publisher also requested a chapter from my 12-year-old son for her growth hacking book 2. My son became not just a #1international best seller but also #theyoungestgrowthhacker.

Life is full of surprises and mine was filled with that and more. We also ended up establishing our three generation of Women Entrepreneurship in India (grandma, mom and daughter), navigating and diverting hurdles and always staying positive.

Grateful for COVID as none of this would have happened if I would not have started making masks. Life has a weird way to doing things..We just have to go with the flow…….
I got to spend a lot of time with my kids. They are 15 and 13 now…… sad that they are growing up so fast but am still warmed by the fact that I can still hug them close.
Doesn’t matter what life throws at you, what I have learnt is patience and positivity is the solution to every problem, and of course common sense please!!!
